Have you ever had to do publicity or any promotional activity after winning a comp?

Just something I was curious about. I know that when people win on the lottery for example, you often see them posing for photos, sipping champagne and holding the cheque etc. Comping wins are usually for much smaller prizes, obviously, but I was wondering if anyone has had to do anything similar to that after winning a comp?

My father did for a lotto win on a syndicate ticket at his work. This was back in the late 80's, early 90's.
They never showed the ad on tv because all the guys were very drunk by the time the filming started! (or so says my dad!)
I've been asked to provide a nice quote, which I was perfectly happy to do. But that's all.0 -
I won £1,000 cheque from Corona Lager which was done through Keystore and I had to pose for a photo with the cheque for the local newspaper. Didn't mind doing it to get my hands on the cheque!Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

I won a Coat and Boots from a store. I had to go to pick the boots and coat myself from their range and was asked to pose with the manager for a photo and provide a quote for the Radio Station that the prize was run through. I don't mind when I am getting a Jacket and boots to the cost of £160 for nothing though
Not sure if it's actually ever gone on the site though.

I won a Tresor Paris bracelet in TH Baker's jewellery monthly draw and when I collected it (from my nearest branch) they asked to take a photo of me with the prize. I was happy to do this, though I'm not sure if it has been/will be published anywhere!0

We won a trip to the set of the Hunger Games in America and had to do a lot of publicity before, during and after the trip; both written and photographic. It was never a problem though.
A huge thank you to all who post the comps and deals that make life so much fun!0 -

Had to go to Asda to be presented with a trailer tent . It was a dogfood competition and I let slip I only had a cat. On anther occasion I was presented with a cheque from the milk marketing board and it was in the local paper. I afterwards received a spoof call supposidly from a bra company wanting me to model for them.0

I won the J2O Xmas Ball and had to appear in a 1 minute video of the party but, luckily, it was a "masked ball" theme so I elected to remain masked for the filming!Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0
