I have had a refusal on a ppi complaint from santander. I was sent a copy of the app form/cca and it does not look like my ticks at all. Think that the sales assistant has ticked it as it looks like the ticks for ID approval etc.
My question is now if I was to appeal do I go to FOS (account opened in 1998) or should I go to Genworth who I believe are/were the underwriters. Also if I appeal this decision, I have a current account & mortgage with santander, can they make life awkward (ie overdraft etc).

They dont need to be your ticks. The sales agent can tick the boxes on your behalf. My question is now if I was to appeal do I go to FOS (account opened in 1998) or should I go to Genworth who I believe are/were the underwriters.
You go to the FOS is Santander have said you can go to the FOS. If Santander give you different instructions in the rejection then you follow those. Also if I appeal this decision, I have a current account & mortgage with santander, can they make life awkward (ie overdraft etc).
