PC World - Reserve and Collect Instore

Has anyone had any experience of using PC World's Reserve and Collect Instore service? I understand that if the item/s you want to purchase are available to be reserved at your local, once you've gone through the process of reserving, your item will be available to pick up and pay for up to 24 hours afterwards. I'm assuming this would work on weekends as well - so I could reserve something on Friday and pick it up on Sat, or reserve on Sat and pick up on Sun?
Thanks for any help.

Cool, thank you!
Oh dear... I think I'm going to give it a go and see what happens.misterbarlow wrote: »ive used it twice and both times they didnt have the item on the desk and the guy had to go looking for it...0 -
I have pre-paid for items on-line and had them sent for pick-up at my local Curry's store. No problems. Not tried the reserve and collect facility. However, I have done it many times at Argos and it has always worked. Can save you a wasted journey if there are only one or two items left.0

I had to do it in the store once, on a smart phone, to get the reduced reserve and collect price. I've used reserve and collect a lot but I agree, the item is rarely behind the desk when you turn up.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0

Slightly off-topic but I thought I'd warn that I used the service once and they gave me the wrong laptop! The one I'd ordered had been reduced in price to the same as a lower spec model from the same manufacturer.
To be fair they sorted out the exchange when I went back (and used it again to try and flog me AV, printer, warranty etc!). So, it's just worth a quick check before you leave the store!----Stupid bug, you go squish now!
TWBM: mobile phone, a laptop, Alcohol!

Some customers reserve but do not collect. They can change their minds for any number of reasons. It is not a guaranteed sale: so I suppose that may be the reason the store wait until you turn up before getting the stock out.0 -
Just a way really to make sure that they have the stuff in store that I want.
I used it when you couldn't get a Nexus 7 anywhere else when they first came out and my daughter wanted one for her birthday.
Wouldn't go near PCW any other time.
Just don't get me started on blooming Toysrus so called click and collect0
