My computer freezes when I click on legitimate links in forum posts (usually news reports).Dell Inspiron,Vista Home Premium.Ctrl-Alt-delete,log out and then log in unfreezes it,but sometimes brings the same article back up,and can read it with no problems.Browser is Firefox.Any ideas please?

Try another browser, if it works fine you probably have a dodgy add on installed in the browser which is slowing you down, try disabling them until it is ok again.
Do you use Microsoft smartscreen or similar from another Av vendor? They check every link you visit in their database before it opens. This can cause a slow down.0
