    I agree that an oil filled radiator with a thermostat is a good way to keep a room warm.


    But if the problem is that you feel you are using too much electricity, maybe you need to look at what the problem is with the current heaters, before you spend on another one. What kind of heaters do you have - are they storage heaters? What tariff are you on - if it is Economy 7, running an electric heater on the daytime rates is going to be very expensive. What about the windows - are they double glazed, are there any draughts in the room?
