I have experience probs logging on to some sites and think it is something to do with set up on laptop - can someone tell me where I should be looking in website access rules on laptop.

Need a bit more information
Are you using a software firewall like zonealarm...
What messages come up when you accessing some sites?
Are you accessing the internet wireless? Through a router? Direct to ADSL etc etc....

I try logging in and just returns straight to login page.........proboards seem the be main ones through wireless setup on xp pro laptop - pc also wireless on xp pro and works fineI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0

so you mean on some forums, whne you press the login button you go back to the login page?
That sounds like a cookies problem to me! Have you tried accessing it using Mozilla Firefox (a better and safer internet browser).
Make sure cookies are enabled in your internet options. If not then the site can't start a session with you in it

have made sure cookies enabled and even specified sites but still having probs............this laptop is giving me a lot of stress with one prob after another.............!!!!!I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0
