Hillesden Securities showing default on Credit report up to date with payments

I ran a credit check today and I can see a default against every month for the last nearly 7 years against two debts that Hillsden collect. I pay every single month on time and have never defaulted. I've emailed them but I'm not expecting much help from them. I used Noddle by the way.
Is there a way I can ensure they remove it does anyone know? It's completely unfair and has hugely affected my credit rating.
Many thanks.

Hillesden Secs is a debt collection agency (according to google) therefore i can only guess that you have defaulted on your original credit agreement? in which case they are correct to report this as a default every month since.
That said if the original default date was 7 years ago then it shouldn't be on your credit files anymore and as such you should call them to request this be removed or put it to them in writing.
Hope this heps0 -
My understanding is that hillsden were a debt collection agency and so for your debt to be with them you must have defaulted on payments to the original creditor at some point.
However assuming that is not the case here then you first need to challenge them as you have done and wait to see what they say.
They should explain/demonstrate when you first missed a payment on the account and the reason for the entries.
When you say a default each month - do you mean a late payment marker or a full default? if so what default date shows on the entry (in the top heading of the account entry somewhere).
If they don't agree to remove it and if your own records differ from theirs and show that you did meet the contractual obligation each month in full then you would then need to write with a formal complaint, and give them 8weeks to respond.
After that you could then take your complaint to the FOS.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
What is the original default date recorded on the file? Should have that separate to the list of monthly statuses.
As far as the status updates every month are concerned, a D or an 8 is NOT a new default. Just an update on the original. Once defaulted an account status at status D or 8 until settled every month, even if you are paying.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
