Argos home delivery.

Options
On 16th December up I ordered a set of bunk beds and a desk. They arrived and the bunk beds were faulty, the holes were drilled in the wrong place so they wouldn't screw together.

I rang up on 20th December and was told rather than exchange them, I should re order and a new set could arrive quicker, and I would receive a refund for this set when they were collected on Monday 23rd December, they couldn't be collected sooner. They couldn't specify a time so I had to wait in all day.

I re ordered a set of beds, I paid for next day delivery and waited in all day on sat 21st December. In the afternoon I received a text message telling me they would not be delivered until Monday 23rd December.

On Monday 23rd December I waited in all day. The faulty beds were not collected and the new beds were not delivered. Time is precious at the best of times but to be stuck in the house just before Xmas is infuriating, especially when it meant I had to take time off work and had lots of things to do as it's almost Xmas.
I called customer services who advised there was a problem with the delivery and it would now be 24th December, Xmas eve and again couldn't specify a time but if I rang in the morning they could better advise.

On Xmas eve I called only to be told the beds were not going to be delivered. As you can imagine I was livid, my children sleeping on the floor as we had disposed of their old beds when we tried to build the first set.

I was told I would be able to cancel the order and receive a refund.
I asked about the set that had not been collected because I didn't have room to store them and I was told I would receive a refund and I could dispose of them. At this point my husband had to borrow a van from his employer, drive to a local store, purchase yet another set of beds and take the faulty ones to the tip.
Argos now had the money for three sets of beds!

To add insult to it all we finally got the desk built and it had a broken top.

My husband tried to build the beds we bought in the local store, but these too were faulty and so I have up and my children had to sleep on the floor over Xmas.

I have since exchanged the faulty beds purchased in store and am making do.

I called customer services on the 3rd jan as my refund had still not been processed. I spoke to a lovely lady who tried to help me. She tried to put my call through to the finance dept but after putting me on hold she came back very flustered and told me the person who she tried to transfer me to didn't want to speak to me was very abrupt to her and advised i would receive either a refund or a phone call by 9th jan 8am.

I received one of the refunds on the 9th, but not the other one and no phone call.

I rang today and it's yet again been passed to the finance dept. I am still awaiting a refund of £169.99

I have spent a long time on the phone trying to sort this out, on a premium number from my mobile phone.

I am not a happy customer and feel so stressed that I can't get to the bottom of this!

Thank you.
