Travel Insurance for FCO Travel Warning Countries

Does anyone know any companies offering travel insurance for travel to areas of the world which are on the FCO blacklist. For the record I am going to Mindanao, Philippines, to spend a few weeks with my wife's family. Actually all I really want is insurance to cover me for becoming ill or having an accident. The mainstream companies don't seem to be interested, even though I am not seeking cover for terrorism/war. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. By the way, not all of The Philippines is on the warning list.
