this sounds exactly the same as me

I had activated my first one, but not used it yet and like you never able to get a PIN as wouldn't accept my DOB, and haven't got any contactless outlets round here so was going to actually use it at a Stonegate pub.

Like you say, the first one should have been £20 contactless, but in fact they are both Prepaid (I haven't checked to see if any monies loaded yet on new card). My first one says E 03/14 and the new one says E 01/15

How embarrassing it would have been to have gone into a pub and had a meal or something and presented a card that doesn't have any money on it  or does it?:rotfl:

Well I'm going to have a meal or something in the next week or two, so will try the first card first, and then present the second card if that doesn't work ;)

Have you still got your first card tamalyn?

Hey cp1 - I hope the card turns out to be worth a bit more than the £0 credit it came with! How annoying not knowing where it has originated from  I'll keep my fingers crossed that you end up with a tidy sum, or at least enough for a pub lunch! :D  ;)

the first one has no pin number but i thought i could pay online with it if anything is added to it? or maybe they messed up and sent us all out new ones after they realised noone could activate them as the date of births were wrong? and they gave us an extra £10 as a sweetner?

    lol

If you phone the number that is on your letter, there is an option to get your PIN no. (on the second card)

That's exactly what I'm thinking of now, as with no pin and not being contactless the first one won't work, so they must have realised and given us another £10 for the additional phone calls. Also I think we can use these cards anywhere now then as we have pin number for this new one :j

Clearly, you've won a piece of plastic, CornishPasty :rotfl:
At least it fulfills your letter 'C' (card), 'P' (plastic), or 'U' (useless) in the 2014 alphabet challenge ;) :rotfl:
