I've just read Mark Dampier's (of Hargreaves Lansdown) review of the Unicorn Income Fund and was surprised it isn't in their top 150. I have looked at it and have it in my portfolio and have been pleased with it as part of my mix. I can see that it has a particular focus and therefore there are risks to holding it as there is to everything.
I suppose I see that it is in the top quartile over 1 and 3 years and it's Sharpe and Info Ratio are top quartile, it has a lowish FE risk score, and for me it balances the overweight I think income funds have in a few large FTSE 100 companies.
It might not be in my top ten but it would certainly make my top 150. What do you think?

Many people suggest that HLs recommendations relate to their commissions from funds as much as, if not more tha, the conviction that the funds will perform well for the investor.
I'd take any recommendations with a pinch of salt and look for corroboration from a number of sources.0 -
Unicorn Income = Unicorn UK Income?
If so, I doubt that the UK Income sector would feature on my top 150 list, let alone this fund.....although thinking about it, it would be highly unlikely that I would 150 different funds in the short term.

1 might also ask ...
if you had a top 150 funds list, would it only consist of 90 funds?0 -
