In Internet Explorer, go to the tools menu and choose internet options. Choose the advanced tab and tick the boxes which say disable script debugging.0
-
Also untick "Display a notification about every script error".0

So why do we bother helping people. I not expecting pressing the thanks button but an acknowledgement is the least we should expect. And yes this person has visited a number of times today. Someone else for my ignore list.0

Well you guys have just helped me solve an identical problem on a friend's PC, so I'm grateful anyway!0

Annoying, isn't it?
It's been well thought out on here, a simple click is all that's needed. You don't even need to be vaguely literate, or should that be litR8 ?0 -
Can i also say a huge thanks, i have had the smae thing bugging me for a while, and now it is fixed....brilliant!!0

If your helping people to collect thanks then youre doing it for the wrong reasons, a lot of people on here wouldnt p*** on you if you where on fire, as long as you realise that you'll be fine0 -
If I post a question then I will revisit that post to see if there are any answers.
Whilst I'm in there I think it's reasonable to click on "Thanks". I also do it if someone has posted a useful item.
I don't expect to be put out by kidney waste and I certainly won't be put off by ignorance, which failure to acknowledge valuable assistance, offered for free, is. A simple "Thanks" is cheaper than 25p per minute from Virgin, for example.
My mummy brought me up properly, if I didn't say "please" and "thank you" two things would happen. Firstly I wouldn't get what ever it was I wanted and secondly she'd tell my dad ........... and then I was in trouble :-)
This modern trend away from basic manners is a failure both of the parents and the system. The Government has got it right when it says we should push these things at school as today's parents don't seem to be doing it at home.0
