old mobile phone accounts showing on credit file

Hiya,

just wondering do closed mobile phone accounts stay on your credit file for the full 6 years or can I have them removed seeing as there no longer in use?

Thanks

It is a misnomer - it isn't a 'credit file' as you never had credit, and it wasn't regulated under the CCA. But it is the CRA's over of data retention that will keep it there, although the account will show as being closed 6 years from the last entry.
