Money children divorce

I had been living with my husbands parents for 13 years we have 3 children age 10,7, &4 , my husband and I are going through a divorce he has kicked me out of the home I've had police round but because it's his parents name I have no right in the property. I sold my kettering house 9 years ago and the sale proceeds went into building an annex on the side of the inlaws property for us to live in. There is nothing written down on deeds or paper to say I've Invested this money I'm just wondering where I stand as regards to claiming this back? I've also had to leave my children with him as in staying in a 2 bed flat with my parents. We own a joint property but it's not liveable but with this money I could finish it off and move in.
