Hi
Thinking of cancelling my Amex Green card and applying for the Lloyds Avios Credit Card (amex + mastercard) which is fee free for overseas purchases. However does anyone know where i can find Amex's wholesale exchange rates, similar to Mastercard or Visa? I already have a Halifax Clarity card but this is useless when buying from some US merchants online as they will only accept MC/Visa with US billing address or Amex card for those with non-US billing address. Also am i right in thinking that Lloyds' Avios Amex is the first ever Amex card (in UK) to have 0% commission on overseas purchases?

Need to be logged in to Amex - Information & Help - Check Foreign Transaction Exchange Rates. Probably can't check if you cancel Green. Amex tends to be better than Visa and can be worse or better than MC.
It's not that they accept Amex for non-US, it's that Amex does not do address verification with online txns

Yes new Lloyds Avios is free abroad. I generally use it abroad now. You should still be able to access if you cancel green card as they generally keep the online account alive incase you want to check previous statements and the exchange rate checker should still work. I agree with the above poster though, pretty much always better than Visa but with MasterCard and Amex it could be either. One of my recent transactions on the same day in USD was 1.6319 on the MasterCard and 1.6323 on the Amex. So you can see its very similar.0
