BoS/Lloyds/TSB Vantage accounts - maximum?

BoS, LLoyds and TSB all offer 3% Vantage accounts.

I have Lloyds Vantage and know only 3 is allowed nowadays (gone were the days where 7 were allowed!)

Can I still open 3 more BoS Vantage, and 3 more TSB Vantage?

Thanks in adavance?

    Yes you can.
  • You can certainly have 3xLloyds, 3xTSB and 3xBoS.

You can probably have all 9 all over again if you move to a new unconnected address.

I thought the rate now went down to 2% for new customers?

Only on their monthly savers, for new applicants.
Current accounts, and existing monthly savers, are still 3%.

... and now they're ruining it by dropping all Vantage tiers by 1.5% AND requiring 2 direct debits per account, from 2st July 2014. And then also removing the £10 planned overdraft buffer.

from 2nd July, between 1-3K earns just 0.5% gross and between 3-5K earns just 1.49% gross. Hardly 'vantage' any more is it :( Thanks Lloyds for rewarding 30+ years of loyalty.

You must agree you've had a good run though?

As a measure, how much did they reward your loyalty in the 25 years or so prior to Vantage launch?

I trust you have opened your Club Lloyds Current account and your Club Lloyds Monthly Saver by now?

Also, thread is about BoS, Lloyds, and TSB. BoS Vantage and TSB Enhance have not had any changes announced yet so hopefully nobody is worrying about them yet.

Just had Notification that BOS are charging me £10 for returned Standing Order to be debited on 1st July.

I have 3 Classic Vantage accounts with them plus same with Lloyds & TSB.

I think when I moved money around last month I left one BOS account empty when my rolling S/Os kicked in and therefore not enough to pay one...:(

So be careful when setting up S/Os, don't forget to cancel when taking out funds like when the Lloyds Vantage rate drops next month.

Not sure how you leave an account empty if you have multiple accounts (and therefore by implication well-funded ones that shouldn't be depleted by smallish transfers simply to meet minimum funding requirements), but the other option is just to rotate the money manually, not quite as effortless but much easier to keep an eye on everything!

I moved money out of the account as I had just opened a Santander 123 account and wanted to fund it while waiting for another fixed rate account to end.

I forgot about the standing orders I had set up, but now the account is topped back up, no problem, just wanted to warn others not to make same stupid oversight I made..
