How Long Does it Usually take?

Options
Hi
We have a loan with First Plus. My claim for PPI being mis - sold is with the FOS!! It has been with them for over a year and a half. We have had letters saying they are still working on it, even had reference to this in December from them when I mailed,so not forgotten. How long does it usually take with a case like this and is this length of time unusual or encouraging even?

Has anyone heard any whispers on cases being successful after a long wait?

Many Thanks

I lodged mine over 2 years ago (I think about 28 months by now) and have recently been told that my claim has been upheld and I should expect an offer within 8 weeks.

I don't think the length of time gives any indication, it's just a reflection of how busy the FOS has been (and the fact that some institutions will delay at every opportunity).

    Quoted for truth.
The length of wait has no bearing on the eventual success (or failure) of a complaint.

ave got to say first plus do tend to pay what they owe i had my ppi paid back within 6 months all told plus 8% plus interest as well,as for the FOS it can be over a year for your claim to be paid back because of the backlog.but if they uphold your complaint then the business is given 8 weeks i think to pay up.going back to first plus keep badgering them,as i did and they do pay up.hope this helps and keep fighting
