Distance selling returns

I bought a large order of clothes from Promod over Christmas. They're a French store with a franchise in other countries. Had three parcels from them, no problem. Returned items from the first two.

I came to the third order. I've lost a lot of weight, which is why I needed to try so many of their clothes on, because they were coming up big on me. I picked what I liked and earmarked the rest to return.

When I looked at the package to send the third parcel back after the holidays, there either wasn't a returns label in it, or I'd misplaced it somewhere in the disruption of having visitors.

I emailed customer service and got an auto reply, well within the return period. Since then I've sent four emails and had five auto replies. I've had no correspondence with a real person about replacing the return label. The really big problem, however, is there is no returns address available on the website, so I can't just post the items back.

Does anyone have any advice?

I'm tempted to make another order I don't want, open it, and then send the two parcels back together with photocopies of my correspondence with them included.

They've refunded the other two parcels with no quibbles, the main problem seems to be getting my package where it needs to be.

Thank you for your consideration,

Meg

How about taking it to the post office and paying for the return?

Or is that not possible because you don't know the address to return to?

  • Thanks for your helpful replies. Yes, @wealdrom, the problem was I didn't know the address. To be honest though, I'd rather have them send another freepost label if they can.

@Hollydays, thanks for your help, I'll give them a call tomorrow.

@deanos, if all else fails I will send back to them by the post.

Thanks for your considerate replies. Much appreciated :)
