Only thing I could add online was Hairy Bikers stuff, don't think I'll bother for just them.

Boots in Taunton was pretty breezy today, more crowded than in years past but everyone was civil and it seemed just getting things for themselves/gifts. One thing I noticed was that there were tons of large gift sets left...especially S&G, Ted Baker, and the big Mark Hill sets with hair dryers. This was def. not the case last year. Ended up getting a few bits for myself and loads of toys for birthday parties, etc. I was a bit surprised at the till, I think that extra 5% really does add up...my friend reckons that they will keep on lowering it until it's only 60% off!

We can send people into space, we can watch TV on our mobile phones, we can clone sheep and transplant organs but bl**dy Boots fail, yet again, to get their IT sorted for their once a year, huge sale. Epic fail.
  • Managed to get to chapelfield just after opening at 8am and was about 15 people in. 10 minutes later it was as if a plane had landed and dropped hundreds of people off!!!

Some people were polite, some were damn right rude!! Trolleys and trolleys piled high! Madness.

I managed a basket with £36 in the end. Did put a lot back as I thought others might want it more than me.

I find that very, very hard to believe.

    Online system is very poor.

Woke up at 7am, spent half an hour putting at least 15 items in basket - "Item added to basket" everytime, went to View Basket and only 2 items were left in basket. Was informed that 2 items were no longer available (fair enough, other people had bought them), the rest had just disappeared into the Internet ether.

Added items again, got "Item added to basket" everytime, but noticed this time that the basket remained empty - if the item is out of stock then how difficult can it be for the system to say so!?!?

On a related note, if an item is out of stock then is there a way of filtering them out of the search?

If that's true why are they not showing as sold out on the website, and why do I get a message saying the item has been 'successfully added to my basket' when it hasn't
