I bought my daughter,at the same age this book (hit and miss at links) but you can G**gle it .Usborne "What's happening to me".I left her to read it alone at first which stated a waterfall of questions. We both feel comfortable talking about anything and if the book starts a question we can talk and talk and talk.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

I'm not sure my mum ever explained the hormonal side to me, I kind of wish she had though as.coupled with the depression I suffered when younger the hormonal side kind of amplified things

I'd probably just explain that sometimes it can make people feel not themselves but that it doesn't happen to everyone and that she can always talk to you if she feels it's making her feel different? I felt like I was losing my mind until someone pointed out that it happened every month and was most likely hormones and that a lot of women felt that way.
18 years after staring my periods I still experience pmt, the difference is now I know to expect it and I know that the week after I will be ok again. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
