Samsung S4 Mini Overheating

I have experienced this a couple of times. The phone is 6 months old and it seems to get really hot, to the point it freezers and turns itself off. I should add that it is not in use when it overheats. In fact earlier today it was just in my bag, thought the battery was going to explode it got so hot to touch!

Any ideas?

Return it to where you bought it for repair/replacement - a device like that should not be getting hot!

I thought as much... the last time I had a device get this hot it was an old iPod 5 years back, left it on the bed to charge and it overheated... caught it just in time... luckily it did not set the bed on fire which is perhaps just as well as it was a hospital bed! :D

I'll take it into THREE tomorrow!
  • Been into the THREE shop, but the guy was not overly interested. He told me to take it to a specialist Samsung Shop in the next town, apparently there are two of them...

I was under the impression under a 12 month warrant my contract was with the THREE shop, since they provided me with the phone on a contract. Or is he right, should I take it to the Samsung Shop?

I know what the rules are for buying stuff but not sure (just haven't read up on it) if it applies to phones on contract.

    Hope you get it sorted.
