County Court papers for unpaid PCN

I was driving my child to a dr appointment in my boyfriends car and the dr surgery is in fazakerley hospital grounds. There are 2 disabled bays and 4 normal directly outside the surgery and then a car park to the left of the building, free for 30 mins then you have to pay for any longer, ridiculous to pay to see your own dr! Anyway the first part of the car park was full and so were 3 of the bays and 1 disabled bay directly outside, but there was a small car parked over 1 of the disabled and partly on the normal, not enough space for a normal size car to park in the bay, so I parked on the half on the pavement ouside the surgery.
I had a sick 3 and a 1 yr old, it was raining and you have to walk across muddy, wet grass to get from the car park to the door. My daughters was seen 20 mins after her appointment time and as a result I had a PCN when I got back to my car. I took pictures of the full car park and of the car over the 2 bays.
I have read that hospital private parking charge companies have no right to give me a penalty so I ignored the letters and have today received County Court papers and a fee of 146.79.
I suffered with depression in november and I'm scared this could set if off again.
I don't know what to do and I'm really concerned because this is all in my boyfriends name as he is the car owner. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

best advice is to start your own thread using the blue NEW THREAD button , top and bottom left of the main forum, and NOT to hijack somebody elses thread , especially as you may need different advice
so please start your own thread and please read the NEWBIES - READ THIS FIRST sticky thread too
but you should also read all of this thread and take the exact same advice onboard as thehalk was given0 -
Please start your own thread Emma - Hijacking someone else's thread only leads to confusion or your not getting the help you need.0
