  • Not a good experience for me either with Wren Living - went to their Solihull store at the begining of Jan and ordered (and paid for) a tv stand - they said it would be a 6 week delivery at the latest.

After 8 weeks wait we were telephoned by Wren to say there was going to be a further delay of ANOTHER 8 WEEKS - clearly a four month wait was too much to accept so I cancelled the order - waiting for a refund. So after 2 months of waiting I have to start over again. Good experience - no, recommend to a friend - no, use them again - you guessed it - NO

My friend bought a kitchen from them and the story would take some time to tell - but basically, nobody who knows what happened would ever buy from them.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I know nothing about Wren Living (I was just idly reading the various posts on this site, out of curiosity, to see if I had anything useful to say on any of them), but this thread does seem to go a bit OTT in a couple of posts.

Trust Pilot has 831 reviews, with 74% of them giving the maximum 5* rating and another 11% giving 4*. With 86% of reviews being positive, that's not a bad vote of confidence.

There will always be people who have bad experiences, and they tend to be the most vociferous. If you're concerned, there are some simple self-protection measures.

If you can wait a few months, probably worth waiting until the next set of accounts are publicly available (due at Companies House no later than 30 September 2014) to see how strong the company's financial position is.

Also worth asking them if they are full members of the Furniture Ombudsman's Scheme. Wren Living display the logo on their website but Wren Living isn't the company shown on the FO's list (http://www.thefurnitureombudsman.org/members-of-tfo/full-members) as being a full member: the company shown is Wren Kitchens and Bedrooms Ltd, a dormant company incorporated on 16 July 2013 according to Companies House. Ask them why - could be nothing more sinister than a clerical error on their part or that of the FO.

Finally, take extra care with the wording of any contract you sign - and make sure you DO sign something - and pay using a method which will give you the best possible protection if anything goes wrong.

    Pun..

The reason fro OTT posts on this thread is that:

Adamg hates them with a passion!

    Captdigby1 works for them..!

They are a reputable company with a poor reputation for sorting things out when things go wrong, and a hirem firem attitude to their staff (have friends that work for them).

Do not, whatever you do, by a gloss handless kitchen from them at the moment as they have horrendous quality problems with the doors, which they are not publicly admitting to... Customers are getting kitchens sent out without doors at the moment.

    Otherwise...

If all goes well, their prices are fair, in most cases, for the quality of what you receive.
  • I purchased a kitchen and wardrobes from wren in Liverpool ever since I bought it had nothing but problems with it, from shortages and damaged items when delivering the furniture to constant delays in getting the items promised over 2 years later and the wardrobe doors have lost colour and look rubbish, others have warped, and never received the money I was promised by the store manager after constant visits to the store to get what I had paid for, as in the end to get the job finished I had to buy the items I didn't receive elsewhere. In the end I have give up going back and forth to the store being promised that I would receive a refund on what I had to spend in addition but never received. Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone you would be better of at Howdens and they are cheaper.
  • just wondered if you ever received your payment as I was promised too and just kept getting given the run around eventually give up as it took nearly a year to get all items and two year later it has numerous faults
  • I have just read your post, and all I can say is you obviously can't trust the reviews on trust pilot!

If you look wren has made there review site got the top of Google reviews for their company who wants to bet that is so they can control the reviews ? As how come you can't google review?
