Child Benefit Claim Form Not Working?

Is anyone else having problems viewing the child benefit claim form? I can read PDFs just fine but have now tried on my own PC at home and at work and do not seem to be able to download the child benefit form from the HMRC website. I just get a PDF that reads as follows:
The irony of their attempted help with regards installing acrobat reader etc. is that the message is inside of a PDF itself so I wouldn't be able to read it if I didn't have a working PDF reader!
Please wait...

I have just checked and its showing the same message for me. Useful! We've just applied for it via a paper form we were given whilst in hospital.
Try this instead: http://www.brearleyandco.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/CH2-Child-Benefit-claim-form.pdf
Seems to be the latest form

Just checked again, this is still not working. How is anyone claiming child benefit right now? I'm surprised its been like this so long!0

I've just read the thread about the Child Benefit Claim form not downloading correctly and it seems this form is still not working. I have the latest version of Adobe installed (XI) and can download all HMRCs other forms (including the guidance form that supports this application) I've reported this to the HMRC who have agreed to send me a paper form but who are not willing to help resolve what is clearly a technical problem with the website.
The other issue is, like many new mums, now my baby is 9 weeks I've just gotten around to sorting this out and HMRC are telling me the form will take 2 weeks to send and 3 weeks to process meaning that I'll miss the week opportunity for child benefit to be back dated. The form wasn't in my Bounty pack so I've had no other way to access this until seeing it on the thread on this website.
Surely this is not a fair process? How is HMRC getting away with it?0 -
Actually, the issue is that the pdf form you are trying to open is using your web browser and these types of pdf's require that you do one of 2 things:
1. find the appropriate plugin so your browser can open the file
2. download the file to your pc and open it using Adobe Reader
I would choose option 2. Good luck!0
