That essentially renders stuff like this impossible to happen given the total lack of requirement to store any payment details anywhere.
While what you say is true, it wouldn't have occurred to the OP as a necessary safeguard because they didn't realise the method they picked was any less safe.0 -
We bought an Xbox for our 12-yo son. His account has his date of birth set up correctly. We registered a credit card onto a parental account that we had to set up using my email address. The reason we did this was to purchase an Xbox live account for him - this is an annual payment that allows him to play online games (for those who don't know gaming). We also set him up an email account for him just for xbox as we expected a torrent of spam from them.
Not a moan or anything. But you do know you can buy vouchers for set periods of gold live from other retailers. They often work out cheaper than buying from Microsoft to.0 -

In which case, if you're unaware of exactly what it is you are allowing free reign access of your credit card to, you err on the side of caution and just don't do it until you do understand. Ignorance is no defence for stupidity.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Once the card is associated with an account, you don't need to input the card details each time you make a purchase. You just need to put in the account password - same way paypal etc work.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -

For the sake repeating myself, again, again and again. Here is the advise I gave yesterday.Blackbeard_of_Perranporth wrote: »Here is another answer for similar circumstances, that occurred after a little too much Christmas indulgence.Blackbeard_of_Perranporth wrote: »I suugest that the Christmas present is returned prompto for a refund or placed on ebay and the pocket money docked accordingly.0

It is quite clear, it's clear Hollydays has a problem with a 12 year old having an X Box. It's also quite clear that I posted because, well, it's a public forum and I can, and also because I completely disagreed with them, again something you get on forums, they are called 'opinions'
As for your post, well, why did you post then if not to have a dig at me?
