JD Sports Return policy

I got some trainers for xmas which were not suitable (and ridiculously expensive) so I went with the card holder to get a refund. This was my first chance as I had been out of the country since xmas day. They delighted in telling me that I had to return the shoes by 6 Jan for arefund, they can only give me a gift card for a load of crap I dont want! Not Happy

Unfortunately you have no statutory right to return change of mind purchases and are entirely at the mercy of different stores return policies. If you don't want the gift card maybe try selling them through gumtree/ebay etc?

How is it a 'gift card for a load of...'?

It's a gift card with a refund loaded onto it, surely?

Take the gift card and flog it on ebay!
