credit report with dispute

Hi all, hoping to apply for a mortgage in the next few months, I've just checked my experian report to check everything's Ok and it has a score of 998 classed as excellent, how ever.it's still flagging up that an account is defaulted, this was from a phone contract over 7 years ago, and wasnt my fault. There are no details of it just has a red flag. Could this be an issue?
I'm hoping to borrow 160k, 40k less than my limit
Thanks.

Defaults will stay on file for 6 years from the date it defaulted. Can you see what the default date is?0

Sorry I've just re-read your post are you saying your can't see any credit account information and that you can only see a red flag on the overview of your credit record?
By the way, those scores are useless, banks do not see them when they search your credit record.0 -
It may appear on one credit report and not on another. Some phone companies only report to one company - I have one contract that reports to Experian but not Equifax.
If its 7 years old from date of default it should not even be on there anyway.3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

It was 7 years in December. It says on experian that there is one default but all account listed are green and have no issues, I'll have to sign up to equifax See if they show anything cheers0

If your credit report summary is highlighting a default but you can't see it listed in the credit account section we need to have a look at this for you so please send us details. Defaults should only appear on your credit report (including the summary) for six years.
