So Annoyed with E.ON!!

I switched energy suppliers in July of this year having previously been with E.on since November.
I sent all of my readings in to both E.on and my new supplier, I knew there was an outstanding balance with E.On and I phoned three times to speak to them and was told that I couldnt pay my bill as the bill was not full and was still missing the electricity charges.
Phoned my new supplier who promised it was all sorted and E.On had everything they needed. Phoned up again to pay and was told they needed the final readings and so on and so on.
In October I checked my credit file and found that E.on had put me down as a defaulted payer. I phoned again and a really nice man got one of his colleagues to phone my new supplier while I was talking to him on the phone. It seems they did have everything they needed. So I was able to pay my bill that day. I have since phoned E.On three times and been promised that someone is looking into it. 4 months later I cannot get anyone at E.on to speak to me regarding this. My credit report is now shot with 3 of my credit card balances being lowered. I may have been naive but what would be the best way forward to sort this out??
Any help would be really appreciated. CR x

If I've ever had to complain about anything (not E.ON in particular) I've always used the contact us section of their website and find its always better than phoning them up. If it helps there is a complaint form you can complete on their website. I would copy the URL below but it wont let me as I'm a newbie!

Thanks, its worth a go!! x0

Exactly. At least it will have to be acknowledged and dealt with, at least that's my opinion. When you spoke to them did you ever speak to the department who deals with this type of issue as I find that can also be easier than speaking to a general customer services person?0

Try these the directors offices complaints team Directorsoffice.Complaints@eonenergy.com. I had an issue like this 18 months ago that was stopping me from getting a mortgage.
They dealt with it quickly. Don't forget to to include your account numbers and all details.
Eon only report to equifax as well. so if credit providers only use the other two this won't come up.0 -
Hi chilli red,
I'm sorry for coming in late on this one.
It sounds like there has been a bit of confusion here.
If you received a final bill from us without an arrangement in place this would need to have been paid on receipt of the bill.
I think the gas and electricity changed from us at slightly different times and is the reason why you received one bill before the other, this can happen.
I'd be happy to look in to the account for you and see how this happened.
Just let me know
