I normally deal in anther world ie New Homes, my sister is selling her countryside home which has a seperate annexe. The agent has advised her they are difficult to sell? I believe not, they have had the place on their books since last May with just 3 viewings. priced to sell and under Zooplas estimate etc, i judge this on square footage and market conditions , i would have thought she should have had a least one viewing per month, i am asking what the normal amount of viewings and lengh of time to sell is for most property?Never having worked in used homes i am just asking the question. The property is in good nick with nice well tendered gardens.
my bark is worse than my bite!!!!!!!!

do you have a link?
Either the property - is ugly!
The property has a weird layout and there is no floorplan..
the property is overpriced.
Or the agents are rubbish - have you mysery shopped them?
I veiwed a house today - it took 2 calls to arrange the viewing - the agents didn't chase me at all..the vendor said - oh its difficult getting hold of the agents (did make me wonder - why they hadn't changed agents..)0 -
Is it still the case that you can't get a residential mortgage on a property with an annexe?0

Properties with an annex often require individual negation by an experienced broker with a flexible lender - depends on the detail.
Standard answer is no !Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Has your sister spoken to any other local agents, to get second opinions about the saleability of her property? It may be that the agents are not doing well in marketing it, or that it is overpriced, or simply that the market in her area is slow and the property itself non-standard and harder to shift. What advice have her agents given her about improving the chances of selling? All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0
