i have £4000 that id like to put in a 'rainy day' savings, withdrawals not necessary, for a high rate of interest, any ideas where i should look? if an ISA is a possibility, can someone explain it in proper thicko language please? im looking for a long term, high interest savings account, that i can just leave it in and let it grow over time :)thanks

invest or save?
you say invest but then you suggest savings. If its long term, then investments would be better. If its short term then cash savings would be better.
What sort of timescale do you see it being there? think about your risk profile?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
