  • Oh damn, forgot about that lol. It's an expensive lesson to learn. Hopefully I get the outcome I want but I doubt it. I am just grateful that this has happened now and not for something that could potentially see me loose my house like a fire.

    Hi there,


    My understanding is that RSA only count claims within 3 years. In the old days (pre CIDRA 2013) they would count back from the start date of the policy....so April 2014 back to May 2010 is just less than 3 years. If we were using the old rules you would therefore have little prospect of success.


    However, (and I may be wrong here !) I believe that under CIDRA 2013 the Insurer can only count back from the date of the claim. If that is correct your claim in 2010 will now be over 3 years ago so you should be ok.


    Perhaps the other posters will correct me if I'm wrong...CIDRA 2013 has not really bedded in yet so its uses/applications are not completely clear.
