Hello

I'll be glad of any help. I can access my ISP emails on my laptop but on my Nexus7 I can see all the emails including new ones as they arrive but I can't read any of them.

When I tap on one it goes to a blank page with the circle going round in the middle but never opens the email.

I contacted My ISP (Plusnet who I find excellent) but they think, after checking settings thoroughly for me and are OK, the problem is on my Nexus 7. I even tried to totally delete the whole ISP email app to set it up again but it wouldn't let me.

I can use my icons on Nexus 7 to access AOL but to access ISP I have to log in to ISP's Webmail or go to my laptop and log in.

I'm really stuck and if you can suggest any way of restoring it to the easy system I had up to a few days ago I'll be very pleased.

Since December I've had System Update 4.4.2 on my Nexus 7.

Thank you.

Crimson

I'd agree with Plusnet, sounds like a fault on your Nexus. I have a Nexus 4 that's on 4.4.2 and I can see all of my emails OK, from my Fasthost accounts, my work Outlook account, and my Gmail account. The same was true of my Hudl before I returned it for a refund.

Thanks for replying, agrinnall. I've had my Nexus 7 for over a year now and I'm hoping it will be possible to fix the email problem. Is it possible to completely uninstall this email app and try starting again as I tried and it wouldn't let me?

I know it would be drastic but if I can do a factory restore and start again is there any possibility that the problem would be resolved, please?

    Thank you again.

You can't delete the built in email app but you are free to use other ones from the Play Store instead. If you want to delete the email settings you put in to start againg go to settings -> accounts -> the email account you set up and delete it.

Thank you very much. After a bit of a struggle I managed to delete the account so I'll now try to start again. I appreciated the help given.

Update at 9.28 pm - I re entered the information and now email seems to be working perfectly - delighted, thank you again.
