PS & P Ltd Court Proceedings

Hi
Like many others I received a parking charge (August 2012) which I refuted and ignored all correspondence bar the initial letter appealing the charge. After many months I received the letter from PS & P Ltd threatening the baliff's would turn up at my address and I also ignored this. However, I have just received their next letter notifying me of court proceedings unless I act within 7 days. I thought that they could not do this.

Can anyone help, do I need to now pay this as I don't want a CCJ against my name.

Thanks

just use the forum search tool using the search word ps&p and you will find dozens of these, many with advice, so your advice is the same advice given to all those other members with the same recent queries

read this too , explains everything https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822

It's always recommended to read the sticky threads on this. But these are debt collectors, they have no right to initiate court proceedings so they are lying! Only the parking company could do anything, who was that? And did you admit to driving?

  • Hi Stroma

The ticket was issued by Car Parking Partnership and yes in my original appeal using the appeal process before POPLA I said I was driving.

    Thanks

Just ignore them, the only people who can take you to court is the parking company, they must send you a compliant letter before county court claim first. If you get one of those please come back here. Until then just file the letters away and ignore the debt collectors.

when you refuted the charge, they should have rejected it (or cancelled it) and given you a POPLA code in their rejection letter

    In August 2012?

No this is prior to October 2012, so pofa and popla didn't apply.

sorry, missed the actual year due to it being so long ago, I forgot that they seem to be resurrecting these old 2012 parking charges for enforcement at the moment , some before pofa and some after pofa , so a mixed bag
