Help I've forgotten the password to get my Nook into my wifi. Used what I though the was the password but it won't work. Any idea how I can get onto my wifi to buy some more books? I've never had to use my password so don't know why I need it now.

I think it's asking for my router password, sorry I'm not very good with technology.0 -
hardpressed what is the name of your router ?
The password will be on the bottom of the router if you have not changed it.0 -

Put this into Internet Explorer 192.168.1.254 That should come up as your settings for your router.Look for the Wifi password on that page.Have you looked on the bottom of Router for the password ?it will be on a little sticker.
If you have been connecting to your Nook through your home wifi and now its not connecting and you have not changed password on Router it must be your Nook thats the problem0 -
I've tried all the numbers on the stickers still won't work. Tried the IE number but couldn't see what was the wifi password, but I'm on Google chrome would that make any difference?0

do you use your laptop/pc via wifi at home? or do you connect via ethernet cable? If it's the former, 10 to 1 you will have written it down when you received your new router. The wifi code will not be a word on the router, it will be a mix of numerals/letters, some capitals some lower case. There could be as many as a dozen.
It's all very well me saying this, but on your admission, you say you don't know much about technology, that being so, you ought to keep a notebook of things you learn and anything you might need again. My wife has a kindle and the only time she has ever needed to "get in" is when I first connected her via wifi and it was the code on the router. The same with my tablet and phone. So it's my guess it's the code on the router. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
