re-boot scan turning Avast off

Hi Guys, for some reason, just lately, whenever I do a boot scan, which finds nothing untoward, Avast is always turned off when it re-boots, and I then have to turn it back on.
It doesn,t do it on any other scan, just boot scan.
Any advice would be grateful.
