outlook folder sync

Hope someone can help. I know there is a simple answer!
I'm using outlook for mail on my laptop and the inbuilt email system on my android tablet. Nexus 7.
They therefore synchronise between themselves, no problem.
I also create folders on my laptop version to file emails away appropriately. Up until now these folders then get created automatically on the tablet.
But I have just created another folder and it refuses to appear on the tablet!!
Investigations show that there should be a synchronisation button somewhere. I can't for the life of me find it.
It's all been working well up to now, no changes/updates have been done.
Can anyone help?
Cheers

Lots of guys have read this but no ideas yet!
Can no one help?
The processes I'm using are totally standard and probably used by millions. Is there perhaps a limit on the number of folders that the tablet version can hold. Even so I only have 17 and that includes all the standard ones (in box, sent, junk etc)
Help please! The system is useless without it being completely synchronised.0 -
your outlook syncs to a server? what mail service are you using? (e.g. Hotmail, yahoo, virgin, ...) they work in different ways sometimes.Friendly greeting!0

Hi, thanks for responding.
I'm using outlook as the webmail version and the mail app that came with my nexus 7. From memory I didn't choose it, it came by default.
I would stress it's all been working fine and is still syncing the original folders. But the new ones I've created recently refuse to appear on my tablet.
I know the answers obvious somewhere, but it's just beyond me where!
Hope you can help.0 -
I could suggest something like "try K-9 mail on the tablet" and see if that syncs, or remove your account from tablet mail, then set it up again (but you may lose the folders you've already got).
So not sure I can help any further! If you'd like to try one of these routes, go for it, but I have no direct experienceFriendly greeting!0 -
Many thanks for your suggestions. Not happy to try another app yet, but may try restarting.
Firstly I've thought of a couple of quick tests, like renaming 1 of the folders that works to see if that change gets through.0
