I bought 3 tubs of this today, ohhh and 2 cans of Tesco's own brand anti perspirant (41p each). So that's the kitchen sink and waste disposal unit taking care of for a while.
No more fighting with soap suds leaving one sink and coming up the other. A quick spray of deodorant will sort them out. Many thanks to whoever on here posted that fab tip. :T
The bicarb work wonders for getting rid of any pong from the waste disposal but I grudge paying full price for something I'm literally chucking down the drain.
So much for telling my Mum not to bother with a basket as I wasn't buying anything. :rotfl:
p.s I also bought Soda Crystals and Stardrops in Semi Chem and a pack of microfibre cloths in B & M - all on the basis of threads I've read on here.
Thought this place was to save me money...0 -
Anyone know where I can buy larger quantities of baking soda for cleaning etc. The ones in home baking aisle are too small but haven't seen it in cleaning aisle. Is it under a different name?0

Hi,
You're looking for bicarbonate of soda. Not to be confused with baking powder, which is a mix of bicarbonate of soda and cream of tartar (tartaric acid).

Go to a swimming pool chemical dealer. Sodium Bicarbonate is used to increase the alkalinity of pool water. A 25kg commercial bag would work out cheapest if you intend to get through loads of the stuff.0

I've found them a chemist shop and in an Asian supermarket.0

Thanks for all the replies. Never even thought of a chemist!0
