Carers allowence

I was wondering if anyone could give us some advice.my husband is my full time carer I have ms. in febuary he will be 65 and we have been told we will lose our carers allowance.thats a lot of money to lose we rely upon it is there anyway of getting carers allowance back.any help would be appreciated.

i didnt think but wasnt sure that there was an upper age limit on carers allowance but here is a link for some information on eligibility im sure someone will come along that actually knows.....

He may not receive the full amount of CA but could still be entitled to an "underlying entitlement to CA" which can bring in additional money even if it isn't the full amount.
Ask AgeUK for a benefit review - make sure you're both getting what you're entitled to.0 -

Does he know how much his pension will be - remember you won't be losing all that money as such because he will be getting the state pension.0 -
the state pension.
And possibly a private/occupational pension?0 -
