No-one has anything to say about Synectics Solutions or Experian Decision Analytics, which is why we started talking about lizards and handbags.
I know a lot about Synectics, I spend most of my days using information from them, I prefer talking about handbags though. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Do Synectics have anything on me ? :A
What handbag I use etc..."Can't you have your ***** cut off ?" "It's not as simple as that, Nigel"

Thats a scary thought
Do you really think there is a handbag database somewhere ? Or even worse, a shoe one :eek:0 -
 If "they" think it's important enough, there's probably a database on everything we do ! Tesco already know what we buy most of, that way they can target us with relevant offers...same thing really."Can't you have your ***** cut off ?" "It's not as simple as that, Nigel"

That's a very scary thought:rotfl: Think I'd rather post up my credit file than my closet:eek:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
There is talk of a database of caiman's skin handbags that belong to the banking lizards of the Cayman Islands.
How these lizards are expected to behave in the future is the domain of those involved in analytics strategy. Thousands of documented lifestyle choices give insight to the existing character of the consumer and the future risks they pose to themselves and lenders.

I don't think this thread is going the way the OP hoped:rotfl:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

It has indeed taken a very unusual path...."Can't you have your ***** cut off ?" "It's not as simple as that, Nigel"

Grow up children.
To think that some of you are actually authorised to access this data is quite worrying.
Have any of you ever held a personal authority or license from a regulator or the ICO or its predecessor? Or have you always sniggered from safely behind the skirts of the corporate that feeds you ?0 -
A point of semantics.
Surely The National Fraud Initiative should be termed The National Counter Fraud Initiative or the National Anti-Fraud Initiative ?
It seems that they have forgotten which side of the law they are on.
From the Audit CommissionThe financial services industry has the highest fraud loss of any industry with over £3.6 bill
Surely HMRC have a bigger fraudulent deficit of tax dues.
To say anything different would be misleading.
One should also not ignore the billions in fines that UK banks have to pay regulatory authorities for the criminal activities of their employees /directors.
