Quote for Composite Front Door and French Doors

We're looking at having a composite front door fitted and a set of french doors for the rear. Both would be white on the inside and woodgrain on the outside.
We had Safe Style come out, god knows why, and they quoted £1950 including fitting and VAT. I thought that may be a little high so I've tried a couple of local companies. I'm waiting to receive the written quotes back from two of them and the third one quoted me £2300 including fitting and VAT.
I live in Southampton.
I've no idea about prices for this but some of the guys from work are saying these quotes are a little OTT.
Does anyone know a rough ballpark figure that I should be pushing for?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the info DHFrames.
I've managed to find the style of composite front door with all accessories, fitting and VAT for £915. I'm yet to find the french door around that price though

Hi, what size doors do you require? 1800x2100 will be around £700-£800+vat. Find a small local company who don't need to charge a fortune to cover overheads!!0

For woodgrain on white supplied and fitted ?you would pay more than £800 for white at the sizes youve stated . Your making assumptions here with no idea of the sizes or of what the op wants exactly, how do you know the door there after isnt a door and side panel or fanlight with bevelled glass and the french doors have side panels the op has been very vague and really should be asked for more detail before throwing around prices . Safestyle may have given a cheap quote but its not unheard of for them to up the price when the serveyor comes out and its suprising how many people say oh just carry on we cant be bothered going through all this againif you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction0 -

The "assumptions" are based on 1 composite door and 1 French door as stated by the op. I've stated that the composite price will vary depending on style, glass etc. Price is based on the info given and that's it!!!!
You then make your own assumption saying French doors in white I would be paying more than £800:rotfl:
Please feel free to comment on your own prices but not mine as you dont know. We are a small company who just add small labour charge to make a living.
Ie French doors x2 side screens fitted yesterday 2480x2080 in white, Door £593+vat
Fitting £140+vat
Small companies live off customer feed back, reviews and recommendations, without this they don't survive. Prices are always competitive, add this to a good fitting team you can't go wrong!! This is where the op needs to do bit of homework, here's a good place to start barrowvian, good luck

so if your making assumptions based on what the op says why go on to ask after youve already stuck you neck out and saidHi, what size doors do you require? 1800x2100 will be around £700-£800+vat. Find a small local company who don't need to charge a fortune to cover overheads!!
then why in your first post did you say
French doors 750-900 fitted
Composite 600-1200 fitted dependant on what glass, style you choose
So on the french door price alone once you add the vat your original price was out and your still saying you would do all this in woodgrain on white like the op asks for for the prices you quoteif you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction0
