Nuisance/unwanted e-mail into a Yahoo account

I am receiving mail into a Yahoo account that I'd really rather not keep receiving.

I don't wish to delete the Yahoo account as there is still e-mail that I do wish to receive.

Is there any way of automatically deleting someone's unwanted e-mail address and it's contents before it gets to my in-box?

Open Yahoo mail in your web browser. Click the icon that looks like a cog wheel at top right, then select 'Settings' and 'Blocked Addresses' and specify the email addresses you want to blacklist.

Some spam is not amenable to being blocked in this way because the sender addresses are randomised. If you access your email through a mail client on your pc (like Thunderbird) you can set up more effective filtering for this kind of mail, but it does take some effort.
