PIP form, mistake made, advice please

Options
Last October a friend made a PIP application. The form was filled in by a support worker in his mental health team.

We've just spotted that on the declaration at the end of the form, the support worker put the applicants date of birth instead of the date the form was filled in.

My friend is very anxious this will jeapodize the claim, and of course we cant phone today as offices are closed at the weekend.

Anyone know how the DWP is likely to respond?

Thank you.

  • Hmmm, that's a difficult one. Although it should be obvious that it's human error, it's best to give them a ring on Monday to ask how the claim is progressing as they may not have spotted it either! HTH
