    Gooood afternoon!

Busy morning already, don't worry starnac I was also up and going but on a tight time schedule.

    This is me:
    - Checked banking
    - Upgraded current account to 123 account, costs £2 a month but will earn me about £7 a month for not doing anything.
    - Money shuffling after trip to town, only bought steak for dinner and and a little treat in M&S coffee shop, I only had a green tea though
    - Sticking to diet religiously today! Want to fit into my grey dress on Monday
    - Mend pocket on grey dress
    - Re-measure hardstanding out the front for planning application.
    - DD watching stuff on lovefilm today while I do housework
    - Busy myself around the house this afternoon so as not to go out and spend!
    - Get Dsister to walk DD over to her dad's tonight
    - Sort kitchen and hallway, still not back to normal since NYE!
    - Hang some washing on the line, beautiful outside but very cold
    - Clean bathroom

    Jx
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!

Ziggy - Sorry to hear you are now lergyfied too. Yes, mr f having to hold the fort here. He reckons he got the shopping in on budget & brought me a box of Seville oranges, too, so I can make some marmalade when I feel better. I am resting, promise.....I tried sorting the clean washing into 3 piles earlier......& had to have a sit down!! Ridiculous! Naturally TOTM has now rocked up on top of the flu......bloody marvellous!......Hopefully by next week, we'll all be back to normal. F x
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!
  • I don't normally post on this thread as don't really have the time but have the weekend off and thought if I posted what I plan to do, then I can come back tmrw night and see what I have managed/not managed to do.. My weekend ( which I normally don't have to myself) is going to be spent doing:

Sorting out books that I am going to sell at uni next week
Make a list of the above so I can post on the uni walls
Sort out my paperwork and shred all old docs that I don't need
Try and find 10 things to put on eBay
Sort out items to give to charity shop
Sort out food cupboards - list all the things that I have so can sensible meal plan
Have a general spring clean ( this I am hoping wil come naturally with all the sorting that I am doing lol)
Type up cv and email to agencies ( this I aim to do by Tues at the latest) as I find it so boring.

Hope everyone has a good wkd:D

    The List 2

*Quarterly deep cleaned the bathroom ourselves. Meant to do this last week.

*Lovely drive down the coast to sunny Ayrshire for a browse in the charity shops.

*Bought £4 of freshly caught lobster tails to turn into a Chinese Fakeaway tonight from local-ish farm shop.

*Stopped in beautiful restaurant but limited selves to a small hot choc each.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi Everyone

Thanks Ally, I replied back as well.

Sorry to hear you are still sick Foxgloves. Really hope you improve by the end of the weekend. Your OH sounds like he is carrying the torch well though. Ziggy sorry to hear you are unwell too :(

LittlePinkStars - Wow what a stash of vouchers your boyfriend has, how did he get those?

    My entry for the day.

    1) The business had an excellent day. Best in about 3 months. I feel so relieved that I can start to slowly climb out of the arrears I have, & it just gives me so much hope.
    2) We went to the library, son got a DVD for free using points as mentioned.
    3) We played in the park all together for about an hour before his dance class, was lovely, remind myself all the time that one day he wont find it fun to play with his parents so I take little snapshots in my mind on days like this, hearing him giggle & run around like a maniac.
    4) Had to go shopping to replace a lot of stuff we'd run out of for work, managed to use several coupons, including extra points for buying some items we needed & got a couple of useful discounted items for quick use. Earned around 200 Tesco points today.
    5) Had a letter confirming OH can postpone jury service till November which is also a huge relief. The paultry amount they pay you is just not enough to live on if he ends up on some long case or other. Goodness knows how anyone can afford to be a jurer.
    6) Had a letter confirming our Thames Water account is £10 in credit. Every little helps.
    7) We have made our last council tax payment until April as we pay over 10 months. So now 2 months with an extra £136 in the budget to look forward to.
    8) Used up another tube of moisturiser that was free. OH had some with a shaving kit, I may smell like a man, but Im a *free man*

Off to see if there are any new ads on the Adpoints thingy on Nectar, then dinner of chicken & pesto pasta with the family & THEN going to let OH loose on my very long hair. He already cuts his own & the boys with clippers. I desperately need a trim & as I just shove it up in a bun anyway figure, whats the worst that can happen??? (I may well regret saying that)

    Night.

He got £100 vouchers for his birthday and £100 again for Christmas from his dad. Only thing is they are for a cinema quite far away, he doesn't drive and I've only been driving for 6 months. So I really don't like going there in the dark cause I feel completely lost, so we are planning to use them when we both have a day/afternoon off together lol!
  • Wow, have really enjoyed this thread especially as I have just come back here and seen that I have managed to do half the list already... And I still have Sunday to go:rotfl:

I had forgotten how much I enjoy these cheap days where I get the chance to clean and declutter. I have already managed a bag and half of rubbish and a charity bag already started.

I haven't spent a single penny so far this wkd:T
