credit accounts eg very/studio/next

I have an excellent credit score but have never been able to get catalog credit eg very/studio/next any ideas? it's not that I want to be in credit but a lot of there money off offers require you to have a credit account thanks for any help

It is very strange if your credit 'score' is so good that you cannot get a store card.
How many have you applied for?
What is your residential status, age, salary, and any existing debt?

Have you actually checked your credit files?

yeah I've only tried with two catalogs I have I'm 23 on about 20k a year I now have a mortgage but have tried in the past before I had this I do have am argos card but it's got nothing on it it seems that if they do a credit check on me with bank detail ect I can get credit but catalogs go off name and address as far as I know go my mam to try applying for one at same address and she got one fine so has me puzzled cheers

I did speak to very about it and they said I had an account last January so if I tried at start of February it would work but when I told them I couldn't get a credit account the either they couldn't explain it

I can't understand what you're saying. What exactly do your credit files say?

it's all good excellent credit and there's no missed payments ever and everything is either up to date or settled

If they are all doing it, I wonder if your details are on the none delivery database. Have you had many items go missing?

not that I can think of had everything from toys to a sofa delivered over Christmas
