Stop arguing for the sake of it.
The OP even admitted that they didn't know that the speed limit was in force. Which is probably why they didn't realise that they were breaking the speed limit.
Cameras and signs displaying speed limits in roadworks aren't exactly hidden are they?
So if the police !!!! up a prosecution case the defendant deserves the conviction anyway?
The rules say no faster than 50 but it's ok for the police not to bother with theirs. How do you think the likes of freeman operate?0 -

But you accept they put then on the motorway and could have been there?
Some motorways don't even have a central barrier.0 -

Yep, that crossed my mind, too.0 -

If his appeal fails you may lose the chance of a course and get points
No of course not. I will own up and send the NIP back.
I came on a moneysaving site to get some advice. Some people seem to have missed this. There are plenty of sites who argue against the speeding fines and cameras and provide advice on how to contest it. My time is worth more than dragging myself to courts contesting something that was my fault.

Yes, you asked for advice as to how to get out of a ticket you found unfair. You got advice - "it's fair, don't even try, just smile and accept that you were in the wrong". The fact you didn't like that advice is another question entirely.
I hope you aren't including me on that, since my clean-for-a-change licence is only staying so because I'm going to be spending an afternoon drinking bad hotel tea next month...0 -

There is no evidence presented to us to say that they have.0 -

We need to deal with the facts, not fiction.0 -

Anyway, apart from one or two patronising know-it-all, moral high ground a@@holes who never make a mistake or do anything wrong, thanks for the constructive advice of everyone else
RT hasn't given you constructive advice.
There are too many sites where people try to seek advice on how to get out of paying fines for offences that they have committed. Rather than accepting the penalty, and learning from it. After all the penalties are supposed to be there as a deterrent, not as something to try and wriggle out of, and just ignore the law.0 -
Sadly that appears to be the way of this board. Trial by forum means you're guilty regardless of the evidence0
