Night time potty training = daytime regression?

DD is 39 months (minus a few days). She was daytime potty trained in July/August with barely any accidents since.

A few weeks ago she wasn't happy about having a nappy on for bed. We took her cue, and she hasn't worn a nappy for bed for about 3-4 weeks. After a few dry nights, then wet nights, then dry nights we've had about 10 days of dry nights.

However, she's started having accidents in the daytime - probably 8-10 in the past 2 weeks. She can't tell us why she's doing it but is sometimes deliberately wetting her pants. She's just started a big brain development which seems to be increasing her reasoning and logic skills, and throwing her sleep out, but I'm not sure how to tackle the daytime accidents.

Any ideas?

I think you've just got to sit it out.

As you say, her increased logic and reasoning skills may lead to an increased fascination with bodily functions...I know my nephew was fascinated with weeing in unusual places at that stage....god knows why, no accidents in his trousers, but he was caught peeing in the corner of the kitchen, the cupboard and once all over his new shoes...and he had been apparently totally toilet trained at that stage...

Just a thought, apparently when I was little I went through a phase of, if I didn't like the outfit I was put in, I'd do a wee so they had to change me.

If there isn't anything that springs to light, I'd just accept it as one more phase of her developement.

She's a bit away with the fairies at the moment. I think she's partly choosing to carry on playing rather than stop to go to the loo, as well as trying to see what happens when she does things she knows will cause us to react.

Would she be won over with a sticker chart?

It's not something I really want to do to be honest.
