Can I cancel my cards and become a "new" customer?

Over some time, I've collected a bunch of credit cards for their new customer cashback amounts - simply moved my spending from one to another and put the card in a drawer - BUT never cancelled the cards.
I've got a lot of things going on this year and ideally would like another cashback card, so there are no restrictions. However, I've already got those listed on the recommended page.
If I cancel a card, can I ever qualify as a new customer? If not, is it just better to keep the cards?
Thanks!

This might be of help
But it might be worth giving them a call and seeing what offers they might have.0 -
Most companies will allow you to qualify as a new customer, often after 6 or 12 months have passed.
Last year I got a new Tesco card with 0% on purchases around 6 months after closing a previous Tesco CC, so it's definitely possible.
https://www.stoozing.com used to have a list showing how long each company usually needed you to wait, but I can't find it on their new website. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

Depending on your credit rating and the card providers some offer ongoing offers as well. I get spammed with offers by MBNA and BoS for instance.Oh, you wee bazza!0

Definite yes, so long as you let the time elapse - normally 12m.0
