Each year I buy breakdown cover, just the roadside assistance, just incase.
I am with Green Flag at the moment and have been the last few years. Every year I get my renewal reminder and I check online to see what deals are around and it always seems to be Green Flag that suit me best.
Each year however I find that the quote I get online is cheaper than the quote they send me. Example, this year the price quoted is £32.86 with 3 years no call out discount but online quote with no call out discount is £21.20!!
As usual I will now ring them and ask them to match their online quote. Sometimes they say no in which case I just let the cover run out and take up the online quote and other times they just change the quote they have sent to the lower amount.
Don't know if anyone else has found this? Just want to let you know that if you are with Green Flag don't let them automatically renew your cover without checking first as you could end up paying quite a lot more than you need.

AA and RAC operate the same way.
I'd change company every year and use TopCashback to get an extra £5-£10 off.

Alternatively pay £39.99 to Autoaid for a far more comprehensive level of cover.

I have Green Flag cover on my car. I recently renewed the Rescue, Recovery, At Home & Onward Travel package for £64.65. I checked the cost for a new member & it would be £85.00.0

That's because it's a completely different type of service - you pay for recovery and reclaim it back from them. Not suitable for everybody.0 -

Best value for money in my opinion and far more comprehensive than Green Flag.0
