Hi all, just been reading through this thread about Foreign Exchange. I go abroad on business a lot and normally take the family holiday overseas as well.
I have found the best company to be http://www.interchangefx.co.uk for both business and travel money. A friend of mine recommended them and I don't go anywhere else now.
I have just bought £5000 of euros using their forward rate system @ 1.27. The market rate today is 1.23.50. I am not going to France until mid Juily and I can't see the euro rate getting any better so an extra 4 euros to the pound is a good deal :T0 -
Ignore moogie-monster, they are a spammer!Gone ... or have I?0

Just wanted to let everyone know about this company.
I ordered £700 of USD's back in October at a pre-booked rate of $2.1 to the £1. I was concerned that this seemed too good to be true, but the few reviews i'd found seemed to say good things about CCE so I thought i'd give them a try.
Yesterday I received my $1470 at a time when the exchange rate on the high street is $1.92 to the £1 - a return of over 9% for having my money less than 5 months.
What more can I say .... a brilliant deal!!
If you have the money and you know you're going abroad in a few months (they do Euro's too), they're worth looking at0 -

but still gambling on the foreign exchange rate...the dollar rate a couple of days ago if you were using a nationwide card in the states was equal to the rate you have received ($1.99 today) ...with no risk and the money in your account earning interest0 -
I'm surprised there's no reference to the now numerous foreign currency prepay cards which all have very tight margins.
* Caxton
* FairFX
* PostOffice
* Lastminute.com

Initially I was going to ask why the Travel Money Maximiser does not have the likes of Marks And Spencer on it, however, I just noticed the following from the Travel Money Maximiser intro....
"The Travel Money Maximiser only searches online providers; primarily as it's a web tool and these are much easier to search"
Marks and Spencer consistantly offer decent walk in high street rates, i.e. £1.00 = $ US1.92 today and consistantly beat some of the online providers listed, thus the limitations of the Travel Money Maximiser should be noted (if they haven't been already). In fact when it comes to Euros, Marks and Spencer beats five of the eight companies listed.
