Balancing credit card balances

Options
I have a number of credit cards from previous 0% balance transfer deals which have since expired and I'm unsure how to proceed. Here is what I have now:

Balance Limit
rbs £3375.96 £9100
barclaycard £6230.50 £12000
fluid £4908.04 £14000
hsbc £0 £7500
lloyds £0 £5000

I have two current offers:
Fluid: 0% until Jan 2015, 5% fee.
Barclaycard: 0% until Aug 2014, 1.9% fee.

The two above offers are on card with existing balances, so while i can transfer to them, they will still have the existing balance with the full rate applied. I am wary of applying for new cards with better offers as I already have a massive amount of credit available to me, does this impair future applications? I should close the empty cards down, but how long would this take until I can safely apply for a different card?
